Over two years into the project and it's starting to look.... well about like it did when I bought it, although much work has been done, the shell is getting close, still have to finish welding in the trunk, inner rear fenders aka. Mini tubs and then do a bunch of body work. But the project is progressing a bit.

It's been over 9 months since I posted my latest car..

Did something strange happen?

Did I start a new trend where I actually keep a car for more than 6 months??

Is it possible that my car addiction has been cured and I can be satisfied with a car for years on end like most normal people??

Well I gave the guys that I work with the afternoon off last Friday ( 9/5/08).So we went to Tim's camp on Lake Morraine. We had a beer and a couple of hot dogs and decided it was time to do some water skiing. I had brought my slalom ski which I have had since I was 16, I'm soon to be 54.. I was the first one up. Life has a nasty way of knockin you on your backside.The planned move to Fla. has been canceled do to an as yet to be determind sickness that has had me in Concord Hospital since May 22 til today 5-26-08.The details are too numerous to describe needless to say no one has a definite clue as to what caused the swelling and redness in both my arms&legs, fever,etc.So I feel like the boy who cried "WOLF".Thank you for all the kind words regarding my move.Now that it is a moot point...

this past weekend I sold the Miata. My red van won't pass inspection anymore due to rocker rust, so I decided to consolidate down to 1 vehicle. (and the Miata was not gonna cut it as my only car)

I've got this on the way up from Florida right now.. 79K miles, 4.6 V8. Looks to be in very good shape..the dealership I bought it from assures me I will be very pleased when I get it. (they'd all say that though, right?)

Should be here Wednesday.. It'll be nice to have a car...

Gee I hope I got this in the right place?Was wondering if anyone races nitro RCs? Along with slots I race nitro trucks on dirt ovals.Checking what your racing is like in other areas.I have just returned to RCs 6 weeks ago after being gone for 11 years.My friends from W. Took my son Tom to the Toyo Tires Nationals (NHRA) at Maple Grove Speedway just outside Reading, PA. Some good news and bad news. The good news is I got to see the look on his face when 2 Top Fuel dragsters when down the track like they were on rails (his eyes about bugged out of his head and his mouth was wide open). IRL at Watkins Glen

Greetings guys. Hey is anyone here going to the IRL race at Watkins Glen July 6-8 ? I visited "The Glen" for the first time on June 9th to see the Rolex/Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen Grand-AM race. Featuring Daytona Prototypes and GT class cars. Man it was AWESOME!!! THAT IS ONE GREAT ROAD COURSE! I managed to view the race from every corner and straight (probably walked about 10 miles in the process).

After pulling my heads and having the machine shop check them out I decided to just put everything back together with new headgaskets..

The machine work, cleaning, valve seals, valve lapping etc was $245 and the gasket sets were $100 so financially it was a no brainer to fix it this way.. Yes, I'd love the extra power of the ZZ4 crate motor, but that was $3000 plus to get that setup going and I wanted to finish up some other things first.

It's all back together now and...
