Here's my take on a Saturday night dirt track street stocker . Remember them from my short stay in south eastern Pa. Loved the tracks in the area and hope to get back there soon. Now all I need is a dirt oval to sling some mud on!

This is not very difficult to do. All I did was heat the body with a lighter where I wanted to dent it. I even took my Dremel with the drum sander and made some crease's. To smooth the sanding marks I took the lighter to then, it melted the plastic perfectly. Painted it with Krylon Fusion Camo green and used some elmers paint pens to put the fender rub's on. I use a tooth brush with some acrlic paint to make the "dirt" effect. Start at the bottom and angle it backwards, put more on just behind the wheels and in the front where the mud would build up and thats it. So grab an old body and have at it!!!! Terry |

Great looking cars.. LOVE the 'already beaten and run' look you've got going..
Post these over on the "Oval action" forum on Home Racing World.. lots of oval and dirt track fans over there would love to see them~

Nice work Terry!
With cars like that, I can't help but wonder if you showed those around your town, that you could get some interest going to get guys to come race with you. I know it's a long drive, but if you're ever here in NH, let us know... We'll let you race with us. |
