If you don't have a passport yet, it's time to apply now for one, in preparation for your trip to beautiful Québec City in September for NEC 13. I heard it can take up to 7-8 weeks to get it once the application is sent. Or maybe they hired more people to process them since and it's faster. But anyway, if you haven't done it yet, don't wait at the last minute.

For its 400th birthday, the city has never been more beautiful (and that's saying a lot). I have lived here for the last 23 years and since the summer has begun, I can't stop feeling overwhelmed by all the things to see all over the city and all the activites to do in just a few months. The Image Mill, the Louvre in Québec, the biggest karaoke ever (!), historical exhibits, street performers, shows all summer long, etc. Between July 3rd (the real anniversary date of the city) and July 6th, the city will be partying non-stop. If you can come earlier this summer, when the flowers and trees are in full bloom, don't hesitate. And then come back for NEC 13, when the Fall colors will be everywhere. Come celebrate Independance Day in Québec, we'll have the biggest fireworks display ever seen in Canada for Québec City's birthday, on the night of July 3rd, over the St.Lawrence river. And on July 4th, we'll have a beer in honor of our neighbors to the south.
